Petroleum products and natural gas are highly flammable and CPC has accordingly always placed extreme
emphasis on industrial safety, healthcare and fire prevention in order to maintain continuity in its operations,
protect its employees from harm and safeguard lives and property in the communities neighboring the
company's plants. Apart from compliance with Taiwan's relevant laws and regulations, CPC has also drafted
and strictly enforced its own safety and accident-prevention protocols modeled on those of advanced
countries in Europe, of the USA and of Japan and suitably adapted to reflect actual conditions in Taiwan
and the characteristics of its operations.
