  Research and Development ●
 • We have kept cooperation with the Geological Survey and Mining Management Agency of Ministry of Economic Affairs on the Datunshan geological drilling project. Drilling and Coring has progressed to 1,176.59 meters (targeting to 1,350 meters) and 51.08 meters (targeting to 100 meters), respectively.
• Regarding the supplementary seismic survey along the nearshore region of western Taiwan, we have completed the first phase of data acquisition and processing at four sites (a total of 1,221 kilometers).
• Regarding the planning and establishment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) monitoring technology, we have completed the sampling and analysis of the ambient atmosphere and surface fugitive gas at 40 stations around the storage site. With the established a regional baseline, and we were able to continue working on the integration of monitored data, in order to set up a continuous time-series database, as the basis for future public communications.
• To raise the public awareness of carbon sequestration, we have participated in a total of seven exhibitions in 2023. During these events, we approached the public with CCS interactive equipment and distributed approximately 350 questionnaires to gather information regarding public support for and concerns about CCS. Among the valid questionnaires, respondents generally support the idea of CCS.
• We have utilized ground penetration radar, a non-destructive testing method, to investigate underground pipeline distribution for the other divisions to complete a total of six commissioned cases, and provided the reports from the analysis for future reference.
• We continued to work on the development of green and sustainable remediation (GSR) technology, not only to improve methods for bioremediation but also to investigate the effectiveness of oil contaminant degradation among different groundwater/soil textures, as well as construction methods, which enabled us to improve bioremediation technology for oil-contaminated groundwater and soil.
• We have established qualitative chemical fingerprinting analysis on soil gas to identify patterns of gasoline and gas vapor leakage, and polished the identification process. The application of the above technique to three operating gas stations has proven successful in facilitating prompt identification/blockage on leaking sources.

• Developed new processes, including the application of magnetic filters, development of waste liquid advanced oxidation processes, establishment of secondary hydrogenation catalyst evaluation procedures, research on improving efficiency of conversion process equipment, ROC factory catalyst formula adjustment and product composition optimization, research on waste media cracking catalyst as base materials for denitrification catalysts, and building a machine learning platform for predictive analysis of critical equipment.
• Quality and performance evaluations for gasoline and diesel were completed. The performance tests were conducted for the gasoline cleaning additive as well as diesel. In order to reduce the carbon emissions, the integration for the heating value of natural gas in northern and southern Taiwan was promoted. In addition, the standardization for stove specifications were also integrated.
